ELK Motor was established in Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone by the main shareholders of Yılmaz Reduktor A.Ş. as a continuation of the product family. Established on 135,000 m² of open space and operating in 50,000 m² of closed space, ELK Motor manufactures electric motors in the IEC 63-315 frame range.
ELK Motor, which has assumed a leading role in the sector with its unwavering commitment to innovation and reliability, has become an important name in the field of industrial production. Its special solutions that increase efficiency and productivity are known not only for their product quality, but also for customer satisfaction and technological innovations. These values increase the company's competitive power in the sector and enable it to be a strong player in the international arena.
CHALLENGES FACED BY THE ORGANIZATION
Following the devastating earthquake in February 2023, ELK Motor decided to make a significant investment to secure its IT infrastructure and ensure business continuity. The primary concern was to ensure location redundancy of servers, backups, storage units, and other critical data. This disaster highlighted the importance of a robust disaster recovery strategy that could withstand such devastating events and minimize downtime. Additionally, there was an urgent need to integrate new technologies to strengthen the existing infrastructure.
SOLUTION USED
ELK Motor conducted interviews with many solution and service providers in line with the need to restructure its IT infrastructure. It chose vMind due to its proven track record of providing effective and innovative IT solutions that are suitable for the specific needs of the manufacturing sector. vMind’s knowledge and professional service experience in active-active architectures and next-generation technologies, not only in Turkey but also in the META (Middle East, Africa and Turkey) region, were of great value to this project. The project, which was launched in September 2023, focused on increasing ELK Motor’s IT resilience and operational continuity and was completed on schedule (March 2024).

Additionally, ELK Motor aims to set industry standards for sustainable and resilient manufacturing practices, reflecting its deep commitment to long-term growth and stability.
